How TrimWise works
You upload a medical bill (PDF or image). TrimWise extracts text, runs an AI-assisted analysis to compare charges to typical patterns where possible, and presents issues and suggested wording for your own follow-up.
You stay in control: you verify details, you contact the provider, and you decide what to pay or dispute.

Supported inputs typically include PDF and common image formats. Quality of the scan affects extraction; clearer photos yield better line-item capture.
2. Analysis
The system builds a structured view of charges and highlights categories that often deserve questions: for example duplicate-looking services, outliers versus typical ranges, or vague descriptions that are hard to verify.
Analysis is probabilistic: it can miss issues or flag something that is actually correct once explained by billing. Always treat output as a starting point.
3. Negotiation help
TrimWise can produce plain-language scripts or email drafts you edit before sending. Optional Gmail-based sending exists if you choose to authorize it; otherwise you copy text into your own email client.
4. Your next steps
Compare TrimWise output to your EOB, portal balances, and any prior payments. When something disagrees, contact billing with specific line references rather than a generic complaint.
Frequently asked questions
How long does analysis take?
It varies with file size, server load, and whether translation or long-running model steps are involved. Complex cases can take several minutes; the product shows loading states while work completes.
Does TrimWise contact the hospital for me?
No. You initiate contact. TrimWise supplies structure and draft language; you send the messages or make the calls.
Will TrimWise store my bill?
Operational storage depends on product settings and privacy policy. Read the privacy policy and security-oriented pages for current practices.
Can I use TrimWise on mobile?
If the web app runs in your mobile browser, you can upload photos of paper bills. Use good lighting and a full-page capture when possible.
